On April, 23, 2026, the AI/web3 subcommittee of the Liberal Democratic Party (Chairman: Masaaki Taira, MP, Director General: Akihisa Shiozaki, MP), released its “AI Whitepaper 2.0 - Japan’s Structural Transformation toward an AI-Driven Nation”. The Whitepaper addresses 104 specific policy proposals to advance Japan’s AI transformation in the age of Agentic AIs. The committee continues to welcome any feedback and comments to the Whitepaper.
